The early hours of Saturday morning brought the first frost to our part of West London but, as we woke to blue sky and sunshine, we didn’t allow the cold to deter us. Our destination was the beautiful setting of Waddesdon Manor, the former home of the Rothschild family. It passed to the National Trust in 1957 and is now one of their most visited properties. It’s easy to see why.We spent a lovely couple of hours strolling around the beautiful gardens and examining the displays at the Christmas market. Interspersed, of course, with stops for sustenance.
Sunday passed by in the blur of our usual routine – a walk in the park, finishing up homework, a swimming lesson and the Strictly results show.
How was your weekend?
