We went early, before school.

The Brainy One did it three times.
The Boy Child wanted to, but I didn’t allow him.
It would have been against the law.
Whether or not we affect the overall result,
we made our voices heard.

I so so agree Ruth. It's important that our voice is heard and counted. It was great to see people queueing around the block at my local polling station.

I couldn't agree more, despite the fact it's pretty much a foregone conclusion where I live. The seat having been held by the Tories for my entire life time. I'll be going to vote once The Mechanic gets home.

My granny marched with the Suffragettes and taught me that using your vote in an election gives you a voice to complain afterwards. I have never missed a vote since I became old enough to use it and my children are the same.
