Winter Warmer

 300g blackberries.
 3 large cooking apples (I used Bramleys).
 2 heaped tablespoons of soft brown sugar. 
Add a tablespoon or two of cold water.
 Simmer on  a medium-to-high heat until apples soften.
 Transfer to a mixing bowl.
 Blend to desired consistency.
 Serve with 0% fat Greek yoghurt.
Enjoy.
This extremely simple dessert is hugely popular in our house during the winter months.
I stew up a huge batch and then freeze in both individual portion sizes and family sized portions.
Neither portion sizes last long.

  1. Blackberry and apple crumble is our favourite. I'm open to trying something new with those blackberries I found in the freezer yesterday, though 🙂
