Sharing a Cuppa

Hi, hi, c’mon in!  So lovely to see you.
I’ve got the kettle on so let’s get your coat off and get you comfortable.
The weather is so strange at the moment, it’s difficult to know what to wear, isn’t it?  One moment we’re in hats and gloves and the next, we’re sweltering in too many layers!

You rang the doorbell at exactly the right time, as I’ve just finished writing our Christmas cards.  I’ll sure there will be a few people I have missed, but the bulk of the list is done and I feel smug good about that.

Let’s have a cookie to go with that pot of tea.  Ah, the secret biscuit eaters have been and left only crumbs in the bottom of the tin.  Sorry about that.  Looks like I’ll be making more this evening …

How are you?  Are you starting to feel a little Christmassy?  It really does seem to appear earlier each year, don’t you think?  The Boy Child has less than two weeks until the end of term and is busy practicing for the Carol Concert.  In fact, part of his homework is to learn 4 carols this weekend.  I had some excellent news from his Speech and Language therapist this morning; he was assessed last week and when compared to last year’s scores, has improved dramatically in his spoken language.  So much so that he is now rated as a 6, where typical children come in at a 7.  As you can imagine, we are very proud of him.
He still has a way to go in other language areas and will hopefully begin Social Skills groups and Lego Therapy in the New Year.  I can see hot chocolate and marshmallows as an end of week treat for him.

I can’t wait to see what Lego Therapy entails, because just the name sounds like enormous fun.
Gosh, is that the time?  Thanks so much for dropping by and I’m sorry to say that it may be our last opportunity for a while to catch up over a cuppa and non-existent cookies.  But do feel free to call in anytime you’re in the vicinity, as I’d love to see you again.

You can see who else stopped by at Abi’s place for tea here.  And thanks, Abi, for having me over to tea all these months.  It’s been a blast!
