Cousins, Affirmations and Rockers | Photo Heavy

So I travelled the two hundred plus miles yesterday afternoon to meet up for an evening out with Cousin #1, Cousin #3 and Cousin by Marriage.
We don’t need much to have a fabulous time.

Large bottles of beer are always a good choice.
Delicious food complete with positive affirmation.  What’s not to love?
The reflective selfie shot is also a good idea.
As is a shot outside the venue.

From the Westfallenhalle in Dortmund, Germany, 1992, through Wembley Arena in 1994, Wembley Stadium and Essen, Germany in 1996, Route of Kings, Hyde Park in 2002 and Oxford in 2009, the guy still knows how to throw a party.

We were amused to realise that the majority of people in the crowd were over 40, including us.  We were amazed at the number of people who remained in their seats the whole time Bryan Adams was on stage.  Not so much as a toe tap from some of them.
It begged the question, why not save your money and stay at home?

Who or what is the best live act you’ve ever seen?
Got a favourite Bryan Adams track?  Then share in the comments.

  1. I agree why go to a concert and stay seated – a boomtown rats concert I was at the week they first made No 1 – in the 70s is still the best I've been to in terms of energy and end to end entertainment

  2. Summer of 69

My best friend at school was a huge fan. She still loves him and since she came with me to a Morrissey concert a couple of years back, I'm up for returning the favour. I'm making it sound like a hardship. It wouldn't be!

I'm glad you had a great time

  3. Gosh, that's asking. Screaming through the entire performance of Gerry and the Pacemakers at East Ham in about 1964, or toe-tapping and head-bobbing in time to the music through Stephen Hough's Mozart Piano concerto no. 23 at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon in approx 2005/6. Both equally as enjoyable.

  4. Looks like a great concert – glad you had a good time.

I've never been able to sit quietly through a concert – at least toe and finger tapping. I love live music. Summer of 69 is a favourite track but I've got a couple of albums – think that will be my soundtrack today – thanks for the reminder.
