Scrapbook Saturday

I don’t remember how I came across Allison Davis and Scrapbook Generation, but I’m happy that I did because she has a scrapping style I can relate to.  Every month she hosts sketch week with a free download.

I made a double page for The Boy Child’s album about how he learnt to dress himself and dry himself unaided this summer.  I was pretty faithful to the sketch and I used paper from Becky Higgins’ Kraft range. The alphas are Echo Park’s So Happy Together range.

The second double page spread I completed was for our Florida album.  Before travelling to the US, both families had agreed that there was no need to be joined at the hip and as it turned out, there were only two or three occasions where we went our separate ways.
On the day we went to Fantasy of Flight, they went to Universal and Islands of Adventure.
The paper used in the Florida album is Echo Park’s A Perfect Summer range.
What have you been creating this week?

  1. Frustratingly, I've been creating stuff which isn't blog-able just at the minute, but I have been creating, that's for sure. I've always admired those sketches..and it looks like they turn out beautifully!

  2. A scrapbook is simply a decorated photo album that also preserves the stories behind the photos (called journaling),it can also hold memorabilia (tickets, certificates, letters, etc.).You might have a family album as well as smaller theme albums for vacations, home improvement or a baby’s first year. Some scrapbookers create an album for each family member.

  3. I might borrow this sketch for a few more of my Florida Album layouts. Haven't done any in the last few weeks so this might be just what I need. I love the one of TBC doing so well xx
