Month in Numbers: July

Month in Numbers is the brain child of Julie and you’ll always find a warm welcome over at her place.  Not to mention entertaining posts about a varied list of topics.
Go on over, stop by and say hello, then come back here.

2 hours 20 minutes: the time it took for me to donate my 22nd pint of blood ~ next time, make an appointment
10: the amount of times I drove the car ~ the highest monthly total this year
12: the total number of times I got into the swimming pool at the gym
7: the amount of times The Boy Child went to the creche at the gym ~ we call it Holiday Gym Club ~ and it means that I can continue with my exercise routine during the summer holidays
1: the amount of Olympic Torch Relays we attended
99.50: the amount in pounds sterling spent in Costa Coffee on drinks and breakfasts.  How is that even possible?  I need to find a cheaper way of treating The Boy Child.

  1. Nice layout … gotta love a rounded corner!

It's quite scary how little things add up isn't it? I keep threatening to add up how much all my 'bargain' sale dresses have cost me – to see if it would have covered the cost of something that I *really* want!

Although, after giving all that blood I think you deserve a treat now and again!

    You're all pinned now:

Thanks for finding itme to join in again.

    Julie x

p.s: I love the wooden kiwi! *hopes it's a kiwi*

  2. I always admire those who manage to put their numbers on a page by the end of the month! Bravo! There's no way I would be patient enough to wait that long to donate blood or have the courage to get in the pool 12 times in a month! 😛

  3. Scary how those Costa treats add up! But I am sure he really enjoys it so worth every penny of spending happy time together.
I'm full of admiration for you sticking with the extra exercise plan, I'd have given up a long time ago!

  4. I admire your blood donation efforts, I am needle phobic and also have difficult veins so have cowardly not been as brave or generous as you.
    How much at Costa Coffee?!!!!

  5. Maybe you could give blood more often? Do they still provide you with tea and a biscuit afterwards?

Haven't been able to donate for years due to medication! x

  6. I remember the 'costs' so well when the children were 'off' school for summer holidays……bet it's even more frightening these days. Nearly £100 at Costa – WOWSEE……..but I always missed them so so mjch when then went back to school and always shed a few tears at the gates when I took them back to start a new term. Enjoy it all – LOVE your month in numbers too
