The daily ritual that is sponging The Boy Child’s blazer. It’s astonishing how he manages to get so many marks and stains on it. Most weekends I put it in the washer on a delicate cycle and it goes to the dry cleaners every half-term and end of term.

Ruth – I had to smile at this. I like to say it will get better but I regularly have to do this with my eldest blazer and she is at secondary school!
