I got a wee bit more adventurous with this set of pages and actually used up some of the stuff which came in the kit from Calico Lane.
I cut up a small piece of Hambly overlay to 8.5×3 and added text to it.
I photographed these poinsettias in M&S and managed to resist the urge to buy one. If I did, it would be dead by Christmas.
The highlight of my day was a run to the supermarket early evening. Something I only ever do in December. I hadn’t planned it, but it turns out that the rest of this week is going to be different to what I thought.
And Elvis? Sitting on an orchid.
Elvis still has a smile even though it looks a bit…..rooty. He's an Elf so he's used to that.

Great pages, Ruth. LOVE the poinsettia photo. I did purchase a poinsettia a few weeks ago, fully prepared to have it dead before Christmas. However, I've had it outside and we've had some cold and rainy weather and the thing is actually growing instead of dying! We'll see how it survives two more weeks… ;o)

Your page is lovely! All those poinsettias look awesome they way you have them photographed. I bought a beautiful white one this year and it's losing a few leaves but still looking great. Thanks for sharing your DD pages! (visiting from Ali's blog today)

I laughed at your post as my first poinsetta is already dead and the second is on it's way out I suspect! I wanted to take a photo of both of them as it is so sad as I always do it but DH has thrown it away!!
