As we move towards shorter days and colder weather, I like to give the birds a head start. (I think that it’s some sort of Virginia Creeper that is currently busy changing colour.)

Good for you 🙂 We're about to have a couple of trees cut down in our garden but once they're gone we can think about how to make the remaining space more bird-friendly – birdbath, birdtable, etc – pity the trees have to go, really, the birds love them and they're handy for hanging feeders from, but unfortunately they're in a state and the roots are encroaching 😦
