This is something I should do as I find it fascinating….:-) Hugs
I know how addictive it can be – I spent hours trawling thru censuses(?)and by sheer coincidence I googled the name I was looking for and I found a website of a distant relative who had researched in detail our family and he sent me all the info I was looking for going back 6 generations !
We've also had rain all day! I recently started researching my husband's father's side of the family as he knows nothing about them. I can sit for hours going through records and love it when I find a link. Good luck with your search!
So true 🙂 How are you getting on? I got a bit stuck with one particular branch with a very common name, but in another branch I've got back quite a few generations 🙂
A really really good forum website for family history is http://www.british-genealogy.com There are more than 27,000 members who are interested in family history researchand if you have any brickwalls or just a query about something then that's the place to go. The best thing is that it is totally free!
We are getting rain this weekend. Sending you some Sunshine from SoCal. My mom has a copy of the entry log of my grandparents and great grandparents into Ellis Island, thrilling and chilling.
