~ Our local parakeet ~
Edited to add: okay, it seems a few of you are interested in our parakeets. We have a flock of them just across the river, in the park at Richmond, and every now and again they venture across to say hello. And rather noisily at that!
The story goes that the flock originated after a few pet parakeets escaped from their cages, met up in the park and subsequently set up happy families. This parakeet was down the road this morning, in a neighbour’s front garden, helping himself to the bird seed.

Have seen parakeets here in Surrey and in Teddington/Richmons area but never seen one sitting in the garden!

I'm surprised you've got them flying around, I've never seen them like that here before – only in cages! Do they stay in your area all year?
