Storing Craft Supplies

In Shimelle’s guide A Year Of Blogging, she suggests sharing a tip for how you organise or store some of your crafting supplies. My tip is this ~ keep your embellishments where you can see them. I had a whole 12×12 box of flowers and an old sewing box full of buttons, both of which gathered dust, because I forgot about them. It’s true when they say, out of sight, out of mind. My buttons now live on my craft desk in glass spice jars, divided by colour, and the flowers are in glass cookie jars, also divided by colour.

Oh, dear, the colour separation makes me sound very anal retentive!

  1. You are just one organized lady! You made me laugh about the glass jars! I need everything in a clear jar to stay organized! Out of sight, out of mind – that is a favorite of mine! Thanks for sharing!

  2. I use a lot of jars for organization. I do need to take some time to separate a couple of big jars of buttons by color — something I've wanted to do but haven't taken the time.
