Instead Of The Ironing, Part 2

Exactly a week ago, I posted here about scrapping instead of ironing; turns out I’ve done the same thing again this afternoon! Only this time, the full basket of ironing is bothering me … I can hear its plaintive cries, wanting to be rescued from what seems like a thousand creases! Oh, dear, I think I need to get out more …

But before I give in to it, here’s what has been delaying me, an 8×8 LO for our Christmas album. You can’t tell from the photo, but I have machine stitched all around the edges of the patterned papers (BG’s Eskimo Kisses, of course; off-cuts which I just had to use up!). By my reckoning, the album should take us up to 2016, if I only record DS opening presents on Christmas Day and the annual visit to Santa. But I’m thinking I should do LOs about our family’s Christmas fairy and Christmas baubles that tell a story ~ both help to make our family’s Christmas what it is. What do you think?

  1. Oh Ruth Sweetie…
This is just beautiful. I love it. What a wonderful job you have done with this page. How very special for your DS one day. He will grow to love this book of love.

Now I want to know a little about your Family's Christmas Fairy. Please write about her/him. I would love to hear.

Happy New Year sweetie, as it is coming so fast. Where has 2009 gone?

Country hugs and much love, Sherry

  2. oooh you naughty girl! I have done about 1.5hrs ironing today with HEAPS still left to do!! Love the LO, and def think you should have a few more pages from each year in there – you will be so bored of it by 2016!!!
Love the way you have journalled around the edges

Let the ironing wait! You are creating heirlooms here with your scrapbook.

    Happy New Year!

  4. I see ironing seems to be a bit of a common theme ;o). Love the layout and it's so much more fun scrapping! I would recommend watching ER while ironing, makes it go much quicker ;o)
