For The Fallen

In this 2nd week of November, 5 days to Remembrance Sunday, news has come from Afghanistan of the murder, for no other word will suffice, of 5 British soldiers ( 3 from the Grenadier Guards, a regiment who can trace battle honours won back to Waterloo, and 2 from the Royal Military Police) by a Afghani Policeman.

Words can not describe the horror I felt at this news and my heart breaks for 5 more families with a husband, father, son, brother snatched from them, for a cause that the majority of the British Public does not support.

Please do not confuse that statement with lack of support for our troops, that could not be further from the truth.

I say to you, Mr Brown, enough. Bring our troops home and do it sharpish.
“When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say,
For Their Tomorrow,
We Gave Our Today”
