Pink Saturday

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday. Thanks are due again to our wonderful hostess Beverly at How Sweet The Sound; do stop by for links to much more pink! This week I’m showcasing a beautiful embroidery stitched by my sister as a gift for me many years ago. By my reckoning, it must now be nearly 20 years old but the colours have never noticeably faded. I’ve moved home many times in the last 20 years and in each new home I’ve always made sure that it has hung on a wall near my desk space because I love it so much.

I have another Give Away this week, you can see what’s on offer here. To be in with a chance of winning, please leave a comment to show that you dropped by; become a follower of this ordinary, run-of-the-mill blog if you’d like a 2nd chance of winning. The random number selector thingy will choose the winner at 12 Noon (GMT) on Tuesday, 29 September.
Last week, for the 1st time, I visited Mimi at Our Family Attic, stop by and tell her I sent you!
Happy Pink Saturday!

  2. What a delightful gift from your talented sister … the framed embroidery initial is lovely indeed. I saw the beautiful pink scrap book Diann won featured on her blog and think it's marvelous too. Here's wishing you and your creative sister a wonderful weekend ;–)

I missed Beverly's deadline so I'm not on the 'official list' but I did share PINK today for the third time.

  3. Love the embroidered “R”! I used to love to cross stitch! At that age where the eyes are doing strange things and am wondering if I could even do that anymore!!

Your little book giveaway is so sweet- I love the way you made it so that it had pockets. So very clever!!

  4. Hi Ruth, Your embroidered letter is lovely….and, such a treasure, having been stitched by your sister. I'm sure it makes you smile each time you look up from your desk and see it hanging close by.

    Best Wishes,

PS: I love the name “Ruth”…..it was my Mom”s name.
