Aaaarrgghh, Spider!

DS has a wonderful book called Aaaarrgghh, Spider by Lydia Monks, which is all about a cute looking spider who wants to be adopted by a human family and live in a house. The one I discovered in DS’s toy box just before bath-time was nothing like it! Luckily, DH was home and immediately called upon to remove it from the premises. He disposed of it out of the French windows in the loft onto the flat roof by the bathroom window. Still too close for comfort, for my liking! I stood on the loo seat and stuck the camera partially out of the bathroom window to get the shot but unfortunately, there isn’t any sense of scale. But believe me when I tell you that it was a good 3 inches across! We don’t know whether we caused it to lose a leg or if it was already the walking wounded. DH did remark that it was just as well BIL wasn’t in the house at the time!

  1. Poor little thing. Should have got Auntie Liz to rescue it……it might still have had 3 legs and would have gone out of the back door!!!!
Definitely a good job John wasn't there!!!!

  2. Spiders don't really freak me out, but a thousand legger/millipede – argh!!!
