I trotted off to the library again this morning, after dropping The Boy Child at nursery, for the book group. I’m beginning to like some of the ladies in the group very much (our one token male is away travelling just now on the Trans-Siberian Express). Linda the Librarian is very nice and is good at getting everyone to contribute something, no matter how small.
Our new book is The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid. The verdict on last month’s books: the majority loved Alan Bennett’s An Uncommon Reader and there was a 50:50 split on the Diana Athill memoir.
